The previous reviewer was correct in that what you see in the picture and what you get is drastically different. I still like what i got, but what you see in the picture is much better, the pose is more dynamic. This particular figure was due out in Nov ‘09 but was delayed till Jan ‘10, which might give some insight on there being 2 different figures. I will post a picture of what you really get.

  2. I got this for my daughter, she’s a great fan of WoW! I have no doubts she’s gonna love it, however, what you see on first picture is not what you get in package. Photos supplied by other reviewers are far more accurate. While body-wise this figure doesn’t look much different than original picture shows, pose and face are quite a different matter. On top of everything, when I unpacked it for the first time I didn’t notice there’s another small pice of wire around her wrist on the arm that holds th bow, and when I tug trying to get it out of plastic, her hand broke of in a milisecond! It’s very gentle figure, be careful with it, but otherwise than that, it’s nicely dane with a lots of details. For money you pay for it, I don’t think you can go much better.

I really love my new Alathena Moonbreeze figure. Even though the colors are a little different on the figure, the REAL colors actually LOOK more “night elf”-tastic, and the coloring overall and the SMALL details make the figure perfect.

I recommend it, because it looks beautiful on any shelf :D

  4. you’ll get a pretty figure but it’s not the one shown. the elf has blue hair not white. it’s pretty, and if u like night elves you’ll enjoy it but it’s not exactly like the pic.

As some folks have already pointed out, the pictured model is the artist concept, NOT the actual model. The user-submitted shots portray the actual figure. While the actual figure is pretty, it is nowhere NEAR the splendor pictured both here and on Blizzard’s official store. This alone takes off a star because what is portrayed is what the buyer should receive.

As for what you actually receive, the stance is not a well-balanced – she is leaned back but it looks slightly awkward instead of epic. The bird is similar in expression and placement. Overall the level of detail is several levels lower than the pictured item as well; the paint isn’t as delicate or accurate. The expression on the actual figure is blank (her eyes are completely blank without irises or pupils) and bored-looking, as if she’s just working on an hours-long grinding expedition. The level of detail in the hair, feathers of the bird, contour of her body, and texturing on her armour is nearly non-existant on the actual figure: there’s enough to show that there should be detail, enough to make it not shiney-smooth but not enough to make it a high-quality collectible like you are expecting from the image.

All-told, it IS worth the [...] I paid for it on sale, but it is not amazing and was disappointing on several levels. Do not pay over [...] for this piece; the quality just isn’t worth more. Highly disappointed =(
